My Story

Monique has been passionately instructing dance since she was a preteen and hasn’t stopped since. From summer camps to studio classes, master classes to one-on-one sessions and workshops, she has always found a place to guide and assist others in her beloved art form, dance. She currently works full time teaching dance at KIPP Morial Middle School. Monique is the CEO and director of P.OS.H. Push Nonprofit. Monique provides several layers of programming through her nonprofit. P.O.S.H. Push provides performing arts experiences and training through POSH Expressions Performing Arts Experience (POSH). Young artists are trained in a variety of dance styles and theater. One of the other programs provided by her nonprofit is Plush, where life skills training and development take place. Through all of the programming, individuals are able to use the tools, skills and knowledge provided to grow into the greatest version of themselves.

As a creative, Monique works to choreograph, participate in and collaborate with other artists on thought provoking art through dance. She also does private sessions, workshops and special events through her business, POSH Expressions LLC.

Monique is pursuing her goals to be an accomplished performing artist, educator and choreographer both in the states and overseas. A few of Monique's credits include Mike - Hulu Series, Beyoncé Lemonade project, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Essence Music Festival with Tisha Campbell-Martin & Wendy Raquel Robinson, Bazzi, Drake, The Loverbirds starring Issa Rae and Claws tv series. Monique believes each individual has the potential to be great and do great things. She works to provide guidance, support and inspiration to individuals on their journey to unlocking their greatest potential.
